BUSH ACCIDENT.
[_ er Press Association.] WHANGAREI, August 15. An accident which resulted fatally occurred to Edward Croucher; unmarried, and thirty years of age, at Whatitiri. Ho, with, his brother, was engaged in cross-cutting a tree, and ac the tree was about to fall his brother got away clear, but on looking round, saw Edward pinned to the ground, the tree lying across his body. Great difficulty was Experienced in liberating the unfortunate man, both of whose legs were badly broken, and he had severe internal "iniuries. He* was conveyed to the Wha-ngarei hospital, but died an hour later. He was perfectly conscious to the last. Deceased's parents lire in England, whence Croucher came ten years ago.
