Typographical Union regarding the increased duty on printing materials, and it Mas agreed that copies of the letters should be cent to the Minister 'of Cutstoms. Correspondence was received from the Spiral Seed Pipe Company requesting the support of the Council in an endeavour tc obtain an increasj of duty on imported articles which, come into competition with the company's manufactures. A special committee was appcinted to go into the matter, comprising Messrs Thorn, Shaw, l'aulkner, Hart and Forde!
