Professor Brown, of New Zealand, in tho course of a lecture at the University, declared that Australia had no need tr> fear Japanese aggression, as Japan had never adopted an aggressive policy. Tho Pacific would be the arena of history because the largest unexploited labour quarry in the world existed on the coast of Asia. Ho advanced the theory that the difficulty regarding tho development of tropical Australia would be overcome ' by the evolution of a new race which would bo a coloured race.
