Nob for one moment does the public wish to acquire its knowledge by delving into dusty tomes, nor yet by zealously studying the pages of the daintily-covered classics which adorn tho windows of the enterprising bookeeller. But if it has no taste, and, indeed, no time, for absorbing the polished phraseology and the complex abstractions of the classic, it certainly abstains from perusing the whimsical ebullitions and delirious paroxysms in which thb highly-strung poet is wont to [ indulge.
