♦ DEATH ON A FOOTBALL FIELD. [Per Press Association.] OAMARU, April 19. At the inquest touching the death of the lad Ward, who died yesterday whilst playing in a football match, the medical testimony was to the effect that death was due to overstraining an already weak heart.
