EXHIBITION TOURNAMENT. This morning's weather was to bowlera a welcome change from that of Saturday, and, though there was a very strong wind, blowing, the conditions generally were good when the seventh day's play began in the New Zealand Bowling Association's Exhibition Tournament. Play was ' confined to the Canterbury green, and in the morning the doubles and singles competitions were advanced to within measurable distance of the finals. 1 In the afternoon there was a very large attendance, the attraction being the finai of, the rinks championship between Taieri (W. Allan, J. Tait, T. Mackie and W. Carswell skip), and Kaituna (R. H. Coltinan, A. Baillie, T. Sneddon and C. J. Payne skip). The wind was strong when play began, and the piayers had some . difficulty in getting the strength of the green. The first head gave Taieri a single, and at the second Kaituna equalised the scores. Play continued keen in the third and fourth heads, and Taieri got a single at each. At the fifth head Mackio and Carswell both drew well, and Payne playing wide, Carswell got a couple. Carswell was unfortunate at the sixth head, for in trying to carry the jack he snicked it opposite a Kaituna bowl, and Payne getting his second bowl in, Kaituna lay two. Taieri 5, Kaituna 8.
