Mr Coghlan, Agent-General for New South Wales, was present at a meeting of the leather ©action of the Chamber of Commerce, who strongly condemned the adulteration, and asked him to advise the manufacturers to cease the use of adulterants. The Chamber supported Mr Coghlan's endeavour to get all imported leather examined for sugar. .
