A REALISTIC PERFORMANCE.

TO THB -HI-08. Sir, — Is it too much to ask who is responsible for the trick that was played on some of Wonderland's visitors last evening, when the hose from the fire engine flooded not only the ground, but the clothing of the spectators? -If I ani wrong, I regret the fact, but I am under the impression that no warning was given to the aeaembled crowd. It would be interesting to know if any explanation can be found to justify last night's unexpected drenching, and to learn why Wonderland's patrons should be subjected to such treatment. — I am, etc., DAMP. Christchurch, January 18.
