OWNERS RELIEVED OF WORRY AND REPAIRS. What does it cost to keep a motorcar? A lucky man who jogs from his house to the station and back may aaifcwer, " £200 a year, chauffeur and tyres included." Another, who places his car and highly-paid driver at his friends' disposal and uses it freely himself may groan, " £600 a year, not including compensation cases." The London Motor Garage Company believes that i^'has struck & good working average for their 28-h.p. "Pipe" car at £25 a month — £300 a year. It backs its opinion by the following offer. "Buy your car of us, and for £25 a month we will supply : — Expert chauffeur. Petrol and lubricating oil. Garage facilities. "Washing car and repairs. Insurance, including third party claims. Benew tyres. Lodge and feed chauffeur while in London. " We allow an average of 3000 miles apiece- for the outer covers^ and 6000 miles for a year's run. Giving the car twelve inner tubes, £100 should cover the tyre bill for a year.
