!_ -♦ It is expected that the Premier will arrive in Christohurch to-morrow. If co, he will inspect the Exhibition building and see what progress has been made. Barons Von Aver and V«>n Zedlitz, two young German tourists (the latter a distant relative of Professor Von Zedlitz. of the professorial staff of Victoria College), arrived in Wellington from Sydney last week, and lefa for Rotarua, via fche Wanganui River. They are making a tour of the world, and will continue their journey by leaving for San Francisco by the next mailboat. R. Artist, the well-known Canterbury cyclist, will leave New Zealand to-mor-row for Sydney by the Wimmera to try his fortune in the sculling world. His many friends are showing keen interest in his new venture, and anticipate that he will be as successful at the oar as on the wheel. The following passengers have been booked for Wellington by the s.s. Mararoa, leaving this evening : — Misses Warrington, Grant, Gregory, Hayes and Ferguson { Meedames O'Callaghan. Ferguson, Diamond and Hobson, Messrs Roberto, Adams (2), Norman, Pope* Candy (2), Hobson, Drummond, Hardack, Francis, Murphy, Wilson, Kernsley and Mieklejohn.
