SYDNEY TRAMWAYS.
THE EMPLOYEES' GRIEVANCES. United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received July 5, 8.52 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 5. The Railway Commissioners have promised the fullest inquiry into the tramway employees' grievances. Last night's meeting of the Tramway Employees' Union endorsed the action of the executive, end pledged its support. The meeting granted ten shillings a day to Lawton until his case is settled, and also decided to petition Parliament to allow Lawton to appear before the bar of the House in reference to the men's grievances and in support of a Commission of Inquiry. One speaker said the men did not want to take extreme measures, but if v the public did not help them in getting a full inquiry they would have to use the power they had at their command. If they did that there would not be a repetition of the Victorian railway strike. ________ mmmmm _
