THE EXHIBITION.
♦ Mr D. C.^M'lntyre, travelling representative of the Exhibition, wili meet the Wanganui Advisory Committee- tonight, for the purpose of arranging for a district representation at the Now Zealand International Exhibition. After nnifihing his work in Wanganui, Mr M'lntyre will proceed to New Plymouth and Auckland. f Tenders for* the tea-rooms in connection with the Exhibition were to have closed yesterday afternoon, but owing to some of the intending contractors being unable to get the use : of the plans and specifications, the ! time for receiving the tenders has been, extended until noon on Saturday. Plans are now being prepared by the chief architeot for extensive additions to the buildings in order to provide for the applications for space that have been received ' in excess of the extent of space originally provided. Tenders for the right to strike and sell commemorative medals, also for the supply of award medala, close to-day. | To-day is also the latest date for receiving competitive cdes. ' i A meeting of the Horticultural and j Landscape Gardening Committee will be held oh Monday nest, when the suggestion of Mr Tannock, with respect to the gardening competitions, will be considered. The Printing and. Advertising Committee have selected designs for the commemorative stamp to be issued in connection with the Exhibition. These designs were selected from a series which are in the possession of the Post Office Department, which Department will undertake the production and sale of the stamps on satisfactory termß. The Department of Public Health has made an. application for a room in the Exhibition Buildings, and suggests thai all exhibits relative to sanitation be placed in one court, a portion of which court to be allocated to the Department. It is suggested that such a course' will be of general advantage to ! the SanitaTy and* Hygienic Committee, and to exhibitors of sanitary applianoes and the Department of Public Health. An application has been received from the province of Mrlborough. definitely applying for space to the extent of 1000 square feet. The printing of the Home Industries schedules has been completed, and copies of this will be available at the meeting of the Executive Committee tonight. - The Hon James M'Gowan, Minister-in-Charge of tie Exhibition, will attend ; the Executive, meeting to-night. Mr Hamer," who le> in Christchurch, will make arrangements for an exhibit by the Mines Department. ;
