Accommodation has been provided for a limited number of first class passengers. They are berthed in the steel deckhouse amidships, and a comfortable dining ealcon has been provided. The ensrines are* on the triplet-expansion principle, with all the latent improvements, and auxiliaries supplied -with steam by four large steel single-ended boilers of the muititubular type, working under forced draught/ The Star of Scotland was built and engined by Messrs "Workman, Clark and Co., of Belfast, and was launched in November, 1904. She belongs to the Star line, of Belfast, llessrs J. >P. Corry and Go., managers. Captain J. H. Hart, formerly of the Star of New Zealand, is in command. Mt. J. W. Paine is chief officer-, and Mir J.
