(Three times, the jury disagreed in the trial of Nan Patterson, a chorus girl, charged with the murder of Csesar Young, a 0 wealthy New York libertine. The two were driving in a cab when Young was shot dead, and Nail Patterson was arrested on suspicion. The defence was that from the position of the fatal wound, Young must have shot himself.) ' • ' '
