ARREST IN A TRAIN.

DRAMATIC CIPTUKE OF AN ALLEGED MURDERER. While quietly smoking a cigar in a railway carriage at York Station on Friday night, July 29, Edmund Hall, fifty t was arrested on a charge which will now be altered to one of murder. That evening John Dalby, seventy, of Alma Terrace, York, Hall's father-in-law, had been discovered with his throat cut and a wound in hia head l . The old man was bleeding profusely from his injuries, and he died in York Hospital on Sunday morning, July 31. Dalby's next-door neighbour said that he heard sounds as of a quarrel on Friday night, and the noise was followed by a long silence. Both back and front doors of the house were locked^ but, summoning -assistance, the neighbour burst one open. As the door was forced* a. man rushed* out, climbed over the yard wall, and disappeared.
