Japanese ofiioers taken prisoners state that the war is already finished. Thft Japanese people will have no more of itj and if it is continued they will rieei against the Government. They were thunderstruck when they were told that Russia had not yet commenced the campaign, but had. merely repelled an attack, and that the war ■was yet to come.—" Russ," St Petersburg.
