Lee, J.P.) i DRtrKKBKNKse. — A first offender, who pleaded guilty to a charge of having been drunk in the South Town Belt on August 17, was convicted and discharged.— -Three first offenders were each fined 5s and costs 1 , ib default twenty-four hours' imprisonment. — ArtbCT Green, previously convicted of drunkenness on March 11, pleaded guilty to a charge of. having been drunk in Manchester Street on August 17. He .was ined 10s and costs, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. Remanded. — John Francis* Gill was charged with having, on March 16, at Christchurch, stolen one silver .hunting watch, valued at £3 10s, the property of one Cecil Granger. l Mr Cassidy appeared for th« accused. On the application of Chief-Detective Chrystal a remand was granted till Wednesday next;, bail being allowed in one surety of £50. _ t Alleged Thjhft. — On the application o* Sub-Inspector fowyer, Alfred Robinson was remanded till Wednesday next, on a charfl-e of having, on August 17, at Christchurch, stolen from the person of one Fred.-D«- , mutt one silver watch and gold chain, ; valued at £15. . | (Before Mr W.
