SATURDAY'S "STAR."
In the "Star" of Saturday will appear the last instalment of Mr Richard Marsh's stirring story, "A Duel to the Death." Amongst the other tales and sketches will be found " The Richest Girl in the World," " The Bachelor's Wing," " Dan Cunningham," "Russian Corruption," "The Size of the World's Cities," "Wireless Light," and others. The gardener's year is a bu6y one right through, if he means to be a good gardener,, and Solomon's proverb*, "The sluggard will not plough by reason of the cold, therefore he shall beg in harvest and have nothing,'' is as true to-day as it was ia the days of "the king with wisdom," and as t true of thfe gardener as of the farmer. This being so, a word in, season from an expert is of inestimable value, and " Work for the Week," supplies the desideratum. For ladies' reading, gThe Bachelor" will be found interesting, as will, also, "Sleep, Cure for Nervous Ills," "health for Working Women," " A Match-paking Mother," besides the usual permanent columns of " Household Hints " and " Woman'«s World." Then the bandsmen's column is as readable as ever r and the writer of "The Week" is as racy and amusing as of yore. - i
