Wilson and C. Treweek (scratch). W. B. Fox and J. Kennedy (handicap 5); and M. Cotton and B. B. Wood (handicap 9) beiug four down to the colonel. Although the entries were not so numerous as would be expected th<3 contest was very keen, and it 13 felt that the inclusion of "foursomes" in the. winter's programme has been a decided sue- I cess v . The resignation of Mr J. F. Miles as treasurer of the Christchurch Club has been announced. It is to be hoped that Mr Miles will be persuaded to reconsider his intention of resigning office, as a more energetic treasurer, painstaking and enthusiastic green committee-man, with plenty of practical experience, it will be difficult to find and impossible to adequately replace.
