VICTORIA
MELBOURNE, July 6. The State Government has declined the request of the Scripture Campaign Council to supply an analysis of the voting in the recent referendum on Bible-teaching in schools, declaring that the Government will Accept the will of the people^ and the whole matter is closed.
The Legislative Assembly has adopted the Address-in-Reply and Supply Bills of £928,000.
TASMANIA.
HOBART, July 6.
In the Legislative Assembly, the Premier announced that he had tendered certain advice to the Governor, who promised to reply • to-day. ; Mr Evans thereupon moved a want-of-confidence motion. It is believed that the Premier has recommended a dissolution.
