FIRES.
[Per Press Association.] : AUCKLAND, J^ly 5. A fire in Shortland Street early this morning destroyed about £1000 worth 'of stock and machinery of Messrs A>el Dykes and Co., printers, burned the rooms of Mr Dos setter, chemist, and damaged the dentist's rooms of Mr T. V. Frost by smoke and water 1 The fire is 'believed to have originated in Mr Dossettor's warn. The insurance on theiirick building, which is owned by Mrs Robertson, of Alangese, is £1400 in, the Royal. Office. The damage to the building is about £400. The printers' stock and machinery are insured for £5000, distributed in the Victoria Office.£3so, the Norwich Union Office' £36o, the Standard Office £750, the Law Union Crown Office £1100 the New Zealaod . Office £330, the Guardian Office £500, the Royal Office £1310, the South British Office £300. Mr Dossettor's insurance is £125 in the United Office. Mr 7 Frost's amount was not obtein- ■•■■.■
