The "Times" states that Lord Curzon, the returned Viceroy of India, will be installed as Warden of the Cinque Ports a,t Waliner Castle. (The Cinque ports, on the south coast of England, were originally five in number, hence 'their name. They originally comprised Dover, Hastings, Hythe, Romney"and Sandwich, Winchelsea and Rye being afterwards added. Their jurisdiction* was Tested in barons, called wardens. These ports, instituted by Saxon monarchs, i wero constituted by William the First, who i required them to supply ships to defend ; the coast.
