In the House of Commons Mr Brodrick announced that the advance on Lhasoa had been ordered for Jane 25, unless a negotiator were spnt to the British camp meanwhile -vrifcb the Amban. Britain throughout nad informed Russia of the Government's • general intentions and policy.
