FRED M'CABE. United Press Association — By Electrio Telegraph— Copyright. (Received April 27, 7.53 a.m.) LONDON, April 26. The death is announced of Fred M'Caibe, monologue entertainer. (Fred M'Cabe was for many years a monologue entertainer, and in this capacity was popular all over the English-speaking world. About twenty years aigo he visited Australia and New Zealand. To him is credited the description of New Zealand weather, that "samples of the stock" were experienced every day.) . - [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, April 27. The death is announced of a very old Napier settler. Mr John William Williams, bTot&er of Archdeacon William*, aged seventy-seven. Deceased ha<J resided in the Bay of Islands for a number of years. The death is announced of Mr E. J. Cotterill, fourth son of the late Canon Cotterill, at the age of forty-seven years. Mr Cotterill was born in Christchurch, and educated at Christ's College. For over tnirty years he was ih the service of the Union Bank, mostly in ihe Chriatchurch branch. ITe occupied many positions in the institution, and was a very valuable officer. He was a noted athlete, and was prominent in , cricketing and footballing circles, having represented Canterbury in both pastimes.
