I Many of the Japanese at Chinampho and Anju are suffering from frost-bitten feet. Two hundred convicts from the Caucasus, who have arrived at Kharbin, have volun- . teered to serve at the front in expiation of i their crimes. A similar force is organising at Sakhalin Island, a Russian convict settlement in the North Pacific. ; Persistent reports, originating in Copenhagen, are in circulation to tha effect that King Edward is preparing to interpose at an opportune moment on behalf of p^aoe in the Far East. i ' ' ■ ■*■ i
