4 [From Our Corrsspondent.] WELLINGTON, April 5. I learn that Mr W. H. Gaw, Chief Traffic Manager of New Zealand Bailwaye, 'has reVilred on account of ill- health, after thirty years' service. His successor is Mr H. Buxton, at present District Traffic Manager of Auckland railways. Sir Joseph Ward /will leave for Auckland this week for the purpose of making final arrangements in connection with the mte-; sian of Mr Donne to the St Louis Exposition in the capacity of commissioner for this colony. On his return Sir Joseph Ward will immediately leave for the eoiith, jn order to be present as the representative of the Government at the send-off to Lord Ranfurly by the citizens of Dunedin on April 13.
