[Prom Our Correspondents.] WELLINGTON, February 1. After a fortnight's . interval, the Senior matches were resumed on Saturday afternoon, in fine but very breezy weather. The prolonged absence of rain had had ito effect on the wickets, which were very hard indeed. Midland, with five wickets down for 87, were all dismissed for 164, Hickson 88 and Uphain^4B playing well for their runs. Hales secured seven wickets for 49. Wellington, with a deficit of 54 to wipe off, had 182 to it 9 credit for the loss of eight wickets when, slumps were drawn. Mah,oney was top scorer with 61, mad© by sound batting, and S. .
