Trouble has occurred in a number of city hotels over the Arbitration Court award in the case oi the cook, and kitchenmen, la several hotels there haa been a wholesale discharge of employees. The employerstate that they have taken this action owing to the high-handed procedure of the employees since the award. The resident* in the hotels have been considerably inconvenienced. | [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, January 30. I At the Arbitration Court, this morning. Francis Bethel, saddler, of Hastings, ar.d John M'Vay. saddler, of Napier, were each fined £2 and costs £2 2s, for employing youths not indentured, and for employing more apprentices than was stipulated in the award- M'Vay was fined £5 a_d £2 2i costs.
