MINISTERIAL MOVEMENTS.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 30. Sir Joseph Ward will leave for the south to-night. He will inspect the new works at Hanmer on Monday, and visit Kaiapoi ' on Wednesday, to open the new Railway Station and lay the foundation-stone of the Post and Telegraph Offices. TIMARU, January 30. The Premier arrived here by the express from Christchurch this afternoon, to fulfil a long-standing promise to spend a few days among the people of Timaru. He was given ai most enthusiastic reception, and will be entertained at a banquet to-night.
