Sir <_eorge Turner estimated a falling off in the Federal revenue foo the year of £39,000. The first six months shows a fall of £186,000, and it is expected tbat in the second half there will be a decrease of £400,000. He estimated an increase in expenditure of. £418,000, whereas the first six months shows, an increase of £464,000, including £130,000 for the naval agreement and £90,000 for election expenses and eugar bounties. Leaving out the naval expenditure, Sir George Turner expects tbat bis estimate will not be largely exceeded,
