Medical men have -been detailed to make a house to house inspection of the congested localises, and strenuous efforts are being madte to induce people to undergo vaccination. DUNEDIN, January- 29. The Union Steamship Company is* advised by its Melbourne agent that owing to the outbreak of «mall-pox in Wellington, no ( ..passengers from New Zealand can land at , Melbourne unless they have been- successfully vaccinated within two years, .the vac-, i: cination being at least fifteen* days old. c Other passengers must go into quarantine until fifteen days have elapsed since they were vaccinated. Failing vaccination, they will -be quarantined for fifteen days from their arrival. — \
