POST OFFICE HOLIDAYS— CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR.
On Friday. December 25, and January 1, post offices* will ba closed in all ■ branches. On Saturday. December 26, post offices "will be open between 9 and 10 a.m. in all branchee " except the Money Order and Savings Bank Department. Mails usually despatched on Friday will be close* at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Deoember 24 and 31. Counter deliveries of all correspondence will be made at the General Post Office, ehrißtonurcli, on -Thursdays, December 24 and 31, bat-ween 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Only one delivery by letter carriers will be made on December 26. Mails for United States, United Kingdom, etc., per Souoma, closs at Auckland <m Fri- * day, December 25, at 10 a.m. Mails for Kara tonga and Tahiti; per Roto3rino, close at Auckland on January 26, at 4 p jn. ..Mails for Son* JKrica close at Melbourne jbn December 25. The mails for Greymouth, Hokitika and the "West Coast, usually despatched over land on fc Friday, Will close at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, • December 24.
