According to a correspondent of the " Pall Mall Gazette," pilgrims are flocking in. thousands to Riese, the birthplace of Pius K. Some of the Sarto family still live there. "The Pope's sister, Signora Teresa Parolin, has eight children, the daughters assisting, as formerly, at the little inn, and the sons serving in the little general shop next door. On the other side is the house -where Pius K. was born, as fresh as whitewash can make it, with a brand-new tablet recording the happy event. "As I write," adds the "Poll Mail" correspondent, "the; voice of the latest addition to the Sarto family, a grand-niece of his Holiness, comes floating down the stairs, and I am tolcL that the little Pia is very naughty, although only two months old, that she criea.oll the time, and that it has thus been impossible to photograph her. As her motheT, a handsome young woman, said to- me: 'Even the Holy Father wanted her picture for has desk, but we have not yet been able to send it I' "
