STATUES WITHOUT A HOME. The four statues of Boer generals which Lord Kitchener presented some time ago to the Royal Engineers have found temporary resting places on wooden pedestals in the Engineers' parade ground at Chathum. The original idea was to incorporate tlie statues in a monument fo be erected 'by the Royal Engineers to their comrades wht> fell in the South African War, near the Gordon fitatue. This has been abandoned, and no definite arrangement has been made for their disposal.
