THE UNEMPLOYED IN ENGLAND.
A RELIEF SCHEME. United P»m Association— By Eleotri* Telegraph-— Copyright. (Received October 29/8.57 a.m.) LONDON, October 28. The Rev R. Campbell, pastor of the City Temple, in conjunction with the Christian Social Brotherhood, is convening, for November 5, a conference of all the metropolitan evangelical churches, in order to try to find work for all unemployed. He relies largely on the London. County Council and the Government introducing vast public works during a period of stagnation. The remuneration . offered, while it will be reasonable, will be insufficient .to tempt, men to always seek Government employment.
