A letter has been received hy the Post-* master-General from the Pacific Cable Board, suggesting that steps should ba taken to bring the advantages of the Pacific/ cable before the public. The PostmastearGeneral states that the matter requires careful consideration, in view of the fact that the Comihonwealth, while having 4 proprietary interest in the Pacific cable, has also an agreement with the Eastern, Extension Company.
