BUiekmore (Governnwut Pomologi«t) and J. fc* Henrys went »outh by the express train thin mcrri* ing, U attend either the race* or show at Bunedin. . . Mr W. W. Rotomahana this morning, were Captains Wheeter. and Crouch, Dr Hall, the Rev W> Dawson and Mr Q. Lamble. Mr A. R. Meek, barrister and solicitor, of Wellington, has taken into pattnfcrship Mr H. tf. "Von Haast (eldest eon of the late Sir Julius Von^SaMt), who hw .-twently returned to the/ colony from England. la addition to his local qualification, Mr Von Haaat is also a member of the English and Victorian Bars.
