(Before Mr W. H. Cooper, JT.) Drunkenness.— Five male first offenderwere each fined 5s and costs, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment, fordrunk_m_es_.—A female first- offender -was convicted and discharged— John Kelly, John Nelson, Patrick Ryan, Alfred Murphy and William Hodgson, each with previous convictions recorded within the past six months, were fined 10s and costs, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. Misappropriation. — Arthur John\ Parris was charged, on remand, with having, on Nov. 29, at Springfield^ "received. £5 from Thomas Searle on terms requiring him to account for the same to Mason, Struthers and Co. and J. E. Butler and Co., and misappropriating it: He now came up for probation> and, the Probation Officer's report being favourable; he was" admitted to probation for three months. Mr Cassicly appeared for the accused.
Thh Railway By-laws. — John Thompson, charged! with having quitted a trainwhile in motion on March 9 t at- Opawa, was fined 5s and costs.
