PRETTY FEET.
THE NEW CRAZE AMONG BERLIN LADIES. Berlin society has discovered a new fad, thanks to the performances of a Miss Duncan, an American lady who. interprets classical music- by dancing with ber feet destitute of shoes or stockings. Mis* Duncan states that the gospel of beauty, preached by her classical dances has certainly not been io.st on Berlin society, and declares that it is a common occurrence for Berlin ladies boasting pretty feet to appear at private entertainments in sandals. She declines, however, to divulge the names of the fair exponents of the cult. Miss Duncam announces that her wealthy patronesses have decided to build a Greek theatre to- be- devoted- to her peculiar style of the terpsichorean art. This would appear to- confirm the statement that not (a few Berlin ladies tread stockingless in tbe graceful steps of the American dancer. A fashionable chiropodist of Charlottenburg states that at an amateur performance of classical plays at the house of a wellknown sculptor his services were more ini demand than those of the hairdressers.
