J. C WILLIAMSON'S PRAMATIC COMPANY. : . ' ■ " —^ — ~ . The' announcement is made this morning I that on Friday evening next a retiirn visit) j of six nights will be made by Mr J. C. Wil- ( liamson's popular dramatic company. The initial production will be tie first presentation in Ohristehurch of the powerful military drama entitled "Secret Service," from the pen of Mr William Gillette' (of "Sherlock Itolmes " repute). It is a realistic ' story of the Civil War of America, and it I offers great opportunities for scenic display, of whicfh Mr Williamson will take every advantage. Mr Cuyler Hastings will appear as Lewis Dumont, a spy, in which cliuifcter he is said to have achieved a great success during the recent season in A\ic&land. The ! cast requires the full strength of the company. "Secret Service" will be presented for two nights, and will be succeeded by "The Christian." The last two nights of the season have been set apart for revivals -of "If I Were King" and " Sherlock! Holmes." The ttox plan for the season will be opened at, Milner and Thompson's on * Tuesday morning at nine o'clock.
