__* [Peb Pbess Association.] HOMTIKA, March 27. Mr T. E.'* Donne, head of th© New Zealand Tourist Department, has just concluded a fortnight's tour of Westland, travelling as far south as the Pranz Josef. He is greatly impressed with the scenic "wonders of the" West Coast, looking upon its attractions as second to none in fhe colony. He purposes taking steps for developing the tourist" route, and 1 looks forward to the time when visitors will enter Westland by way of the Haast Pass, travelling northward, and on through the Buller Gorge. He - intends anaking Tiscoinmendations with a view 4o increasing the traffic to Lakes Kanieri and Mahinapua. The vicinity of Hokitika is rapidly becoming a popular resort. - The West Coast Volunteer encamp- ' menfc will be held here at Easter.
