Trumper 33p and Gee 172 put on 423 for the first wicket, which is a. record for competition matches. Trumper's score included twenty-two fives and thirty-nine fours. She was a native of Dunedin, and a daughter of Mr John M'Neil, now resident in Auckland. She had been married only fourteen months.
