LYTTELTON REGATTA.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the General. Committee of the Lytfcelton Regatta Was held in the Borough Council Chambers last night. Thera was a largo attendance, and the Mayor (Mr J. Grubb) presided. An interim report on the financial results of the Regatta, of a satisfactory nature was presented. It was decided to send letters of thanks to Mr A. Kayo, chairman of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, to Mr I. Gibbs, manager for the New Zealand Shipping Company, for having, granted the use of the barque Cupica as flagship ; to Captain Falconer, for having carried out the submarine explosion, and to Mr W. T. J. Bell, for having lent, his Union oil-launch to tfie committee on the day of the Regatta. The Commodore of the Regatta, Mr G. Laurenson, M.H.R., invited th© members of the committee and officials to a, social gathering, to be held; on the evening of tihe final meeting.
