Lieutenant Peary is seeking a suitable steamer to mske a fresh attempt to reachthe North Pole. ~ (Lieutenant Robert Edwin Peary, of the United States Navy, has already made four voyages to the Arctic regions. In 1891-1892 and 1893-1895 he headed expeditious to North Greenland, -and in 1886 *ad 1897 piade summer voyages to the Arctiq seas. His last expedition was begun m July,lß9B, and occupied wore than two years, the explorer attaining a. fair measure of success. Lieutenant Peary is now in his forty-seventh year. His wife, to whom he was njamea in 1888, is keenly interested is the work of exploration, and accompanied the relief expedition which went to North Greenly in 1900.) ■- ■
