RAILWAY RETURNS.
A FOUR-WEEKLY INCREASE. The returns for the four-weekly period ended Dec. 6, show that the revenue of the North Ishui/d section wns £65,161, against £60,889 for the corresponding period of 1901 ; white for tho Middle Island the figures were £82,498 and £80,767 respectively. 'Hi a expenditure on. the North Island section amounted to £42,329, or 73.14 per cent of revenue earned ; while on tho 'Middle Island section the figures were £62,711, or 70.38 per cent. The detailed returns of the HurunuiBluff section for the game four-weekly period are : —
