A MEETING OF THE COM^nTTEE. [Per Press Association--] L WELLINOTON, Dec.. 24. w At a meeting of the Central Committee l of the Veterans' Home Fund, it was decided, , immediately a site was chosen for the , Home, that arrangements sbould, without - further reference to the committee, be made 3 for the preparation of plans. Major-General > Babington and Colonel Davies, of Auckland, r were appointed trustees, and the former . was elected treasurer. It was decided to l ask Captain Alexander to act as secretary E until the Home is built, when the work I will devolve upon a manager. With refer- - ence to finance, the committee suggests that t all funds should be handed ove? to the . treasurer with the least possible delay, and > that they shotild be temporarily invested, r It was further resolyed that the building r should" be : commenced as early as possible, b and it is expected thaf it wM be finished . within six months.
