THE HALF-HOLIDAY QUESTION.
■•-•• + x^SATUROAY UNANIMOUSLY CHOSEN BY LINWOOD. At the meeting of the Linwood Borough Council v last night, the question of the statutory half -holiday was discussed. Eventually Councillor Seed moved — " That with a view of giving our delegate an idea of the Council's feeling in the. matter, Saturday be approved of as the most suitable day, with a strong hope that representation would be made at the next sitting 1 of Parliament to make Saturday universal." Nearly every Councillor present spoke to the motion, which was carried unanimously.
