Many of them were declared hopeless by regular physicians, and they came to Professor Finsen as a last resort. •*. • " One of the nurses, now in perfect health, entered the institute as a patient, the entire left side of her face being a mass of tuberculosis. Hardly a scar now remains. Birthmarks, even when covering a large area, are so quickly removed that applications for the treatment of such blemishes alone would keep the institution full. x- |
