A LICENSING CASE.
SELLING LIQUOR AT A CLUB. [Peh Press Association.] INTERCARGILL, August 11. The charge against Artihur Plank, steward of the Commercial Club, of exposing and selling liquor without a license, is being investigated to-day. The tmr was fitted up as a billiard room, and liquor was sold to members at hotel prices. The dub possessed no license or charter, and the prosecution submits that the defendant had rio more right to sell liquor than another person in the community.
