» CONDITION OF KENNYIt was reported to-day *hat the lad <namect John Kenny, an inmate of the Burnham Industrial School, who was admitted to tlhe Christchuroli 'Hospital, owing to injuries from af knife, was making a flight improvement. -ft seems that, according to Kenny's . statement, the was engaged on Friday -with other 'boys in the boot repairing chop at Burnham, and just as he was about to ■cut a .piece of leatiher for a toe-fierce for ai boot, anotiher lad named (Bruce Malcolm attempted to wrest the knife from him. •' In the struggle Malcolm grasped his right wrist and his hold dipping, Kenny's "hand 1 , with the knife in it>, was forced downwairde, the knife entering (his groin. Kenny states that the boys were not quarrelling, and had always been on good terms.
